The DNE OME Level 6 Professional Degree (BEng) Apprenticeship focuses on the Safety pathway within the Engineering profession. The course is run by The University of Wales Trinity Saint David with ‘Off the Job’ learning occurring on a block release basis meaning that successful applicants will reside at the University in Swansea for approximately three and a half months per year.
The programme is recognised and accredited by the Institute of Explosives Engineers (IExpE). During the apprenticeship programme students will be registered as IExpE student members and on completion will gain professional registration.
Students will require an eagerness to learn, an inquisitive mind with a logical approach to problem solving, be self-motivated and have the ability to learn from practical and theoretical studies whilst being dedicated to complete the 5 year scheme.
