Established in 2016, the DNE was formed with a single focus for nuclear-related business. Our purpose is to deliver nuclear capability that deters threat and protects the nation.
We do this by

Providing submarines and maintaining nuclear deterrent. and being a trusted advisor, policy maker and international partner.

The Defence Nuclear Enterprise (DNE) is a cohesive network of organisations and arrangements responsible for maintaining the UK’s nuclear deterrent and submarine forces.
It collaborates closely with industry to generate, design, produce and maintain submarines and nuclear warheads, while ensuring proper infrastructure, personnel, and support.
Our partnerships with industry are vital for delivering the capabilities required for our nuclear deterrent. By working with suppliers throughout the UK, we access the best technology and expertise, meeting stringent security standards efficiently. These partnerships also contribute to the UK economy by supporting numerous highly skilled jobs nationwide.

What is an apprenticeship?
An apprenticeship is a paid job where the employee learns and gains valuable skilled experiences. Alongside with job training apprentices spend a portion of their time completing course work with a college or university which can provide them with a recognised qualification either in person or online. Apprenticeships are flexible and can be conducted in block training or in a workplace setting
